23rd November 2025
23rd November 2025 was my birthday. I turned a year older, yes—but more importantly, I felt richer than I have ever felt in my life.
Not because of a celebration. Not because of a cake, a party, or anything material.
But because of what my children gave me.
A Gift That Cannot Be Bought
On my birthday, my 19-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter handed me something simple—handwritten notes, a small handmade gift, words written in their own handwriting, straight from their hearts.
The heartfelt notes that meant everything
No fancy wrapping. No price tag. Yet, it was the most valuable gift of my life.
Raising Humans, Not Just Children
From the day they were born, my responsibility was never just to provide for them. It was to build character, not comfort. To teach values, not entitlement.
I made sure they never felt deprived—not just of things, but of love, attention, and guidance.
That happiness is not in acquiring things, but in giving
That doing your best matters more than winning
That values stay longer than success
That character defines destiny
I shared my life stories with them—my failures, my struggles, my lessons—so that when life forces them to make hard decisions, they don’t walk blindly.
A lovingly crafted gift that touched my heart
I told them stories from mythology, not as tales, but as guides—stories that talk about duty, righteousness, courage, humility, and compassion.
Reading Their Words… I Saw My Reflection
When I read my son’s letter, I didn’t see praise. I saw respect.
When I read my daughter’s words, I didn’t see admiration. I saw trust.
Words that reflected the love and values we’ve shared
They didn’t thank me for what I gave them. They thanked me for who I was to them.
And that, for a parent, is everything.
These handwritten notes spoke volumes about our journey as a family, and they reflected the values and love we’ve shared over the years.
This Is Success
Success is not titles. Not money. Not milestones.
Success is when your children grow up knowing right from wrong, choosing kindness, and believing in values even when the world doesn’t.
If after all these years, my children see me as their hero—not because I am perfect, but because I tried to live honestly—then I have already won at life.
In the end, success is not about what we achieve in the outside world, but in the kind of people our children become. And on this birthday, I felt that in the purest form.
My Best Gift
These handwritten notes, these simple gifts, these words—they now sit quietly with me. But they speak loudly to my heart.
The best gift of my life is not something I received—it is who my children are becoming.
